Where the schools split

Practitioners agree on 1 gold, orange and yellow; 2 white, cream and green; 3 yellow and purple; 5 green; 8 dark blue and black; 9 red. They are split on 4, 6 and 7, and both readings are printed rather than settled.

Shapes and the card

Horizontal for stability, vertical for growth; the company name larger and bolder than the person's; the logo toward the top corners; rounded corners; no sharp points. These are rules from the Vastu genre that practitioners repeat, not numerology proper.

Colours to avoid

Black for a 1, dark red for a 2, black and dark blue for a 3, red for a 4 and an 8, black for a 6, 7 and 9. A brand in the avoided colour is on the list of ways each number loses, because the colour belongs to a planet the number opposes; take the number's own colour for the ground and the founder's for the accent.
