Every table Numeroway computes from, rendered from the engine so the reference can never drift from the code: planets, letters, friendships, compounds, sectors.
What this reference is
Six tables sit under every number this site prints: the planet each digit answers to, the letter values, which digits read as friends, what each compound total means, what each sector favours, and how a phone pair is read. They are rendered from the engine at request time rather than typed, so the reference and the calculators can never disagree. Each one is explained here, and the table itself is part of the practitioner pack.
Planetary rulerships
Every digit from 1 to 9 answers to a planet, and the planet is what carries the reading: the day it rules, its metal and stone, the colours practitioners give it, the mantra and the mukhi count of its rudraksha. Almost nothing else on this site is a bare number. When the engine says a name total of 5 suits a trading business, the sentence behind it is about Mercury, and the remedies a report prints for a 5 are Mercury remedies. Read the rulership first and the rest of the reading stops looking arbitrary.

The Chaldean letter values
Chaldean numerology gives each letter a value from 1 to 8 by the sound it carries rather than its position in the alphabet, which is why it disagrees with the Pythagorean table most people meet first. Nine is left out of the letter values entirely, because the tradition holds 9 as sacred and does not assign it to a letter; a name reaches 9 only by totalling to it. The whole table sums to 103, and that figure is checked by a test on every commit. A name is scored by adding the letters as they are spelt, not as they are pronounced, so Kumar and Coomar are different names.

How the friendship table is used
Two numbers in one business either work together or work against each other, and the friendship table is what decides which. It governs the founder against the company name, one partner against another, and the name digit against the sector the trade sits in. The pairs are not symmetric in every tradition, but the grid this engine uses is derived from the directional table rather than typed, so it cannot disagree with the source it comes from. A refusal in this table is the one thing that outranks a good name total.

Why the compound matters more than the digit
A name total is read twice: once as the compound, the two-digit total before it is reduced, and once as the digit it reduces to. Both matter, and the compound is the one practitioners read first. Twenty-three and 41 both reduce to 5, and the tradition has very different things to say about them. Cheiro supplies the readings to 52; beyond that the engine reduces and says so rather than inventing a verdict. A name that lands on a poor compound can usually be moved to a good one by a single letter, which is the whole of what the Name Variants calculator does.

What the sector table records
The sector table is the tradition talking about trades, not about people. It records, for each of twenty-six sectors, the numbers practitioners name first, the ones they advise against and the ones they attach a condition to. A prohibition in it is a block rather than a low score: an 8 in solar is not a weak fit that a good name can carry, it is a number the tradition refuses for that trade, and the report says so in those words. Each sector hub explains its own row, and every sector and number combination has a page of its own.

How a phone pair is read
A phone number is read as the total of its digits and as the pair the last two digits make. The pair carries the reading practitioners give to a working number, and the total carries the character. The grid is derived from the same directional table the friendship grid comes from, so a pair that reads well here reads well there.

Karmic and master numbers
13, 14, 16 and 19 are the karmic totals, and they are read unreduced wherever they appear: a name that totals 13 is read as 13 and not as the 4 it reduces to. The tradition treats them as debts carried rather than faults, each with a stated path — 13 asks for work without shortcuts, 14 for restraint with money and appetite, 16 for honesty in what is promised, 19 for service before position. They are not verdicts on a business by themselves; they qualify the reading of the digit underneath. 11, 22 and 33 are the master numbers, and the engine keeps them unreduced only under the master reduction modes, because practitioners disagree on whether a company name should be read that way at all. Where a mode changes the answer, the report says which mode produced it rather than picking one silently.

The explanations are the part that helps you read your own numbers, and they stay open. The tables are the working material a practitioner charges for, and they sit with the pack that includes them.
